Charcoal Drawings...Works in Progress
Charcoal is a good medium to use in developing artistic ideas on location and in the studio. I like the easy way drawing with vine charcoal enables me to adjust values and compositional elements when I'm doing field studies.
Here are two charcoal drawings I've recently completed. Although I'm using them to develop the subjects into larger paintings, charcoal drawings such as these are often valued as collectable artworks on their own merit.

My wife and I travel through Charleston every year on our way to our favorite north Myrtle Beach hotels. However, she has long been a lover of all things art and I was wondering if you have a physical location where she could view and perhaps purchase some. Thank you for the kind remarks about my blog and interest in viewing my artwork.
I am primarly a "self representing" artist which means most of my sales are conducted through my website, art shows and juried exhibitions.
The Hampton Plantation Historic Site outside of McClellanville,SC sells notecards and giclee reprints of my painting of their historic mansion and grounds. Two series of "Lowcountry Landscapes" I have painted are also available as note cards sold at the Sewee Outpost in Awendaw, SC.
Next month, selected artworks of mine will be on display at the historic Santee Gun Club Clubhouse at Santee Coastal Reserve – a wildlife preserve managed by South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
I'm also considering having my artwork displayed in Charleston's historic district. The location and contact information for the venue will be available on my website later.
I'll be happy to provide additional information to you and your wife about any of my artworks available on my blog and website.
