The artists chose to paint at a wide variety of locations in downtown Charleston ranging from historic churches such as St Michaels Church painted by OPA member Katherine Schneider to harbor vistas, historic homes and waterfront parks.

OPA member John Hulsey and his wife Ann traveled from Kansas to participate in the Charleston  paint out.

As the artists completed their plein air works, the paintings were delivered to Lambert Gray Gallery where they were hung for an evening exhibition and reception.
