Spring Paints Bright Colors in Lowcountry Gardens

After an unusually mild winter, bright skies and warm weather has caused an early bloom of colorful Spring flowers in the SC Lowcountry.

Colorful flowers and a red tin roof make a charming Lowcountry scene in the late afternoon light.

I was out painting when I saw this wonderful scene of blooming azalas, "naked Lady" lilies and purple wisteria in the yard of a historic home in an old fishing village by Jeremy Creek.
